How To Remove Gel Nails: A More Considered Routine
Before removing a manicure, identify the type of product you are wearing. A soak-off system and a file-off system can require different approaches. The removal instructions for that product should determine your method.
Do not peel a manicure away
Picking or peeling gel polish can damage the nail surface. Allow enough time for the correct removal process instead of forcing the coating off. If you do not know which system was used, ask your nail professional.
Gather the right information
Check the product’s specified remover, tools and removal sequence. Keep removal products away from children and follow their handling instructions. This general guide does not substitute for a formula-specific removal method.
After removal
Treat your nails gently and give yourself time to assess their condition before another manicure. For persistent nail changes, pain or irritation, speak with a dermatologist.
